Activities at Le Châtelet Campground: Everything That Awaits You in Saint-Cast-le-Guildo

A program designed for the whole family

In July and August, we welcome children ages 5 to 12 to the campground’s Kids Club. Every morning, creative workshops, imaginative games, treasure hunts, and sports tournaments keep them busy—while you enjoy a few hours to yourself.

Activities for all ages

Throughout your stay, we organize get-togethers that naturally bring people together. The Sunday welcome reception is a great way to start the week, as you meet your campsite neighbors over a drink. Themed meals —mussels and fries, rotisserie—are among those moments when the dining table becomes the heart of the campground. And once a week, it’s time for “Brittany Day ”: traditional dances, local music, Breton galettes… A celebration rooted in the identity of this region that we love to help you discover.

Shows and concerts round out the evening program, ensuring that the night gets off to a great start.

Swimming pool with a wooden deck and palm trees.

Imagine a misty morning on the coast, and yet: the pool is already warm, the air is mild, and the lounge chairs are lined up on the wooden deck. That’s what we offer you with our indoor, heated pool, which is open and heated all season long. The retractable roof opens when the Breton sky allows it—and in Brittany, there’s no shortage of pleasant weather surprises.

The aquatic area also features a heated outdoor wading pool for young children, lounge chairs by the pool, and accessible entry for strollers and people with limited mobility. Whether you’re looking to take a leisurely swim or watch the kids splash around, this area is designed to accommodate everyone at their own pace.

In addition to the entertainment program, the campground offers a variety of facilities that are free to use:

  • Multisport field for impromptu games
  • Archery—an activity you wouldn't necessarily expect to find at a campground—and one that's always a pleasant surprise
  • Table tennis with equipment available for checkout at the front desk
  • Pétanque with a view of the bay—it's hard to imagine a better setting
  • Game room and arcade, for rainy afternoons
  • Giant chess set, for outdoor games
  • Paddleboard rentals (3 available at the front desk) to explore the coast from the water
  • Electric bike rentals, perfect for exploring the region—the terrain is hilly, so an electric bike is the obvious choice

Le Châtelet isn’t just a campground— it’s a starting point. From the campground, about a hundred steps lead you directly to the beach. You can explore Fresnaye Bay on foot, by bike, or from the bar’s panoramic terraces—a drink in hand, gazing out at the horizon.
